Step 1. Remove the main cover of the ice machine.
Step 2. Remove the electrical cover.
Step 3. Once the electrical cover has been removed locate the electrical control board. This board will be either green, tan, or blue.
Step 4. Locate the white reset button on the control board.
Step 5. Using something non-conductive like the end of silicone spatula or the back of a sharpie, press and hold the reset button for 1 second.

Reset the Manitowoc Indigo or NXT models
Manitowoc ice machines can shut down on 2 different safety limits. These are simply labeled safety limit number 1 and safety limit number 2. Directly taken from the Manitowoc service manual these limits are defined as:
- Safety Limit # 1 - If the freeze time reaches 60 minutes, the control board automatically initiates a harvest cycle. If 6 consecutive 60-minute freeze cycles occur, the ice machine stops.
- Safety Limit # 2 - If the harvest time reaches 3.5 minutes, the control board automatically returns the ice machine to the freeze cycle. If 500 consecutives 3.5-minute harvest cycles occur, the ice machine stops.
If your machine shuts down on a safety limit, the Manitowoc Indigo and NXT models will safely store this information inside the ice machine if it needs to reference in the future by your local ice machine service company.
To reset your Manitowoc commercial ice maker please perform the following steps:
Step 1. Remove the front cover of the ice machine.
Step 2. Press and hold the off button for 4 seconds.
Step 3. Verify if there is ice located on the ice making evaporator
Step 3a. If ice is found on the evaporator, allow all the ice to melt before moving on to step 4
Step 3b. If no ice is present on the evaporator plate, move on to step 4.
Step 4. Unplug the ice maker, or if the ice machine is permanently wired, locate the breaker and turn off the breaker for 15 seconds.
Step 5. Plug the ice machine back in or turn the breaker back on after waiting 15 seconds. Press and release the ON button. The blue light will illuminate, indicating the ice maker has been reset
Reset the Manitowoc S-Model or Koolaire by Manitowoc Ice Machines
The S-Model and Koolaire model ice machines also have 2 safety limits which are used to indicate any errors that the ice maker may have experienced. Before resetting these ice makers, remove the electrical cover and note which safety limit red LEDs are illuminated and whether they are continuously illuminated or flashing. Take a short video or write the sequence down. Step 1. Remove the front cover panel of the ice maker.

Step 3. Turn the on/off/clean switch off and back on, 3 times in a row. On-Off. On-Off. On-Off.
Step 4. Turn the on/off/clean switch back into the on position. This will reset your Koolaire ice machine or Manitowoc S-Model ice maker.

Before resetting the Scotsman prodigy ice maker, remove the front cover and make note of the error code located on the front of the control board display. Step 1. Remove the front cover of the Ice-O-Matic ice machine.
Step 2. Locate both the on/off and clean buttons on the right-hand side of the ice maker.
Step 3. Hold both buttons down at the same time until the blue and yellow lights flash.
Step 4. Release both buttons.
Step 5. Press and release the power button 1 time to reset your Ice-O-Matic ice machine.
